Every Dalmec is specified for one job: your part, your movement, your line. That engineering is our work, not yours. So if the machine we specified does not do the job we specified it for, we come back and sort it out at our cost, and that is written into your contract rather than just onto this page.
Here's what we usually get asked
Anywhere from 12 kg to 1,500 kg. The trade-off to know about is reach against weight: the further out you need to place the load, the less the machine carries. Working out where your job sits on that curve is most of what the free assessment is for.
No, and you are in good company. Most floors run more than one part weight.
If your parts all weigh the same, you get a simple pressure regulator, set once and left alone. If you handle three distinct weights, you get three preset positions. If your weight varies across a range, you get a proportional valve that senses the load and adjusts the balance itself, so your operator sets nothing at all.

A hoist lifts your load vertically, and that is all it does. A manipulator balances it, so your operator can move, rotate and place it with almost no effort. The difference shows up in the last movement, and on a crane that one is still done by hand.
No. You keep your operator. They still run the machine, they are just not carrying the weight any more. What changes is that the person doing the job at the end of the shift is in the same shape as the one who started it.
There is no list price, and here is the honest reason: your machine is engineered around your part, so until we know the part there is no number to give you. It is a capital purchase, not something off a shelf.
What you get is a real number after the assessment, and an honest answer if it is not worth it for you.
Plan on five to six months. Roughly fifteen weeks to build your machine and another eight to ten to ship it from Italy. Nothing comes off a shelf, because the machine and the gripper are built around your part.
The assessment is free and starts no clock, so finding out early costs you nothing.
Yes, and you can have it in writing.
Dalmec build to European and ISO standards. In February 2026 we paid an independent Australian engineering consultancy to assess those standards against the Australian equivalents and put their findings in a signed report.
Their conclusion: the machine is fit for purpose and compliant to be imported, supplied and used in Australia, provided it is installed, operated and maintained to the manufacturer's instructions and your own site WHS procedures. They also confirmed that an industrial manipulator is not a class of plant whose design you have to register with WorkSafe, in any state.
One thing worth being straight about: a manipulator is not a crane, and the Australian crane standards were not written for it. That is exactly why we had the equivalence assessed rather than claim a crane certificate we do not hold.

Two things, and you will know both before you order.
Compressed air. Dry, oil-free, at a constant 7 to 8 bar. A few of the larger models want 8 to 9.
A floor that suits your machine. Most models anchor into your slab, so your floor needs to meet Dalmec's weight and load specification for the model you end up with. Some base-plate models are self-stabilising and are not fixed down at all. Which one you get depends on your job, and you will have it in writing before you place an order, not on install day.
You provide and mount the structural support, we supply the compressed air attachment point, and any ceiling or wall mount needs a structural engineer's sign-off.
Yes. It is a pneumatic machine, and the air is what makes your load go weightless rather than just hang there. 6 bar only gets you light loads, around 40 to 50 kg.
What you do not need is electricity. No power supply to run to it, nothing to wire in.
We come to you and do the lot: set your machine in place, assemble it, connect the air, fit the gripper, commission it, and train your operators before we leave. Your operators are trained the same day.
Most single-machine installs are finished in a day. We book two anyway. Sites throw up surprises, and we would rather have the spare day than leave you half done and come back next month.
How much of your line has to stop depends on where the machine goes and what is around it. You get that worked out at the assessment, and the plan in your hands before you order.
Twelve months from Dalmec against defects in materials and workmanship, which is what you would expect from the manufacturer.
What sits on top of that is ours. If a machine we specified does not do the job we specified it for, we come back and sort it out. That is written into your contract, not just onto this page, and you are welcome to ask us to show you the clause.
We install your machine, train your operators and service it. For on-site attendance we work with partner service contractors in most states, and for the jobs that need it I come out myself. I would rather be there than send someone who has not worked on one of these before.
We do not publish a response-time guarantee. What you get is someone answering the phone and telling you honestly when we can be there.
Often, yes. With more than 650 machines installed across Australia and New Zealand there is usually one within reach of you, and we can arrange for you to go and watch it work. It depends on your application and on that customer being happy to host you, so it is not a promise we can make everywhere. Ask on the call and you will know straight away whether there is one near you doing something like your job.
